Darlene McLean, Executive Director
Darlene is the Executive Director of the Christian Embassy of Canada, a position she has fulfilled since May 2012. Previously, she served for 6 years as the Deputy Director. Over the years she has had the privilege of leading and participating in business tours to different regions of Canada and multiple international delegations to Africa, Asia and Europe. In December 2012 Darlene was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for her work with the Christian Embassy for the benefit of diplomats and government leaders.
Robert Montgomery, International Representative Emeritus
Robert joined the Christian Embassy in 1999 as a part-time associate to the Executive Director, then from 2003 to 2006 served as Deputy Director. From 2006 to 2023 he has served as International Representative of the Christian Embassy and as coordinator of the English as a Second Language program.
Katherine Gerber, Mission Assistant
Katherine joined the Christian Embassy of Canada in August 2026 as our Mission Assistant, providing administrative, event and communications support and leadership. Before moving to Ottawa for this role, she worked with Power to Change’s university and college student division at the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University, and Conestoga College. She facilitated many large-scale events and projects to help students grow personally, professionally and spiritually, two of which brought them to Ottawa to learn about and work alongside non-profits in the city.
Stephanie Kiouangou, Communications Lead
Stephanie Kiouangou joined the Christian Embassy in 2013 as an International Representative and now serves as Communications Lead for the team. She has worked with student-athletes in Canada through Athletes in Action, facilitating their development as holistic athletes–physically, mentally and spiritually. She coached basketball and has organized team tours throughout North America and around the world. Stephanie graduated from the Arrow Leadership program and is fluent in English, French and German.
