Barbara Rudd Degenhardt, M.Ed., Registered Psychotherapist
In recent years, a deeper journey into Christian worship and the scriptures has resulted in a closer and more joyful walk with Jesus. With 25 years’ experience as a psychotherapist, Barbara has provided individual, couple and family therapy to multi-stressed inner city families, employees in the workplace and people on diplomatic, military, international development and business postings abroad.
Barbara’s experiences of growing up in India with Christian missionary parents and then later spending eleven years abroad on her husband’s Canadian diplomatic postings in Turkey, China and India, have enhanced her global awareness and cross-cultural sensitivity. Managing her family’s international relocations while raising two daughters has also afforded insight into the psychological challenges that expatriate families experience.
A particular interest in understanding and healing human emotions has led to Barbara’s development of the Psuche Model of Feeling and Emotion. read more
