Recession. Re-flation. Restoration. 

As a result of the public health policy response to COVID-19, the global economy is experiencing the largest contraction in GDP in modern history. This has thrust the global economy into an economic recession/depression. Governments and central banks have responded with massive spending programs funded by record levels of debt coupled with an enormous expansion in the money supply.

Jonathan will be discussing some of the impacts and potential unintended consequences of these dramatic actions. He will address the questions: 

What are some of the impacts and potential unintended consequences of these dramatic actions?
As decision makers what approach might we take? 
How do we begin economic and spiritual restoration?

Jonathan is the founder and CEO of ROCKLINC Investment Partners Inc., an independent research-driven investment management firm focusing solely on creating portfolios of high quality assets customized to their clients’ objectives and needs.

Prior to founding ROCKLINC in 2009, Jonathan served as Chief Executive Officer with Portland Investment Counsel (formerly AIC Investment Services). Under his management, AIC’s assets grew from $10 million to a peak of $15 billion, making the firm the largest privately owned mutual fund organization in Canada.

Jonathan has been married to his wife Heidi for twenty-six years and they have four children, Johanna, Jonathan Jr., David and Christina.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Master of Business Administration degree from McMaster University, and Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Waterloo. He also completed a Master of Arts degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (Chicago). He holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
